Do balance boards help skateboarding at all? Manuals anything?

Probably not, they are bullshit in my opinion. They might help people in the circus, but you don't need to be able to balance on top of a bucket to be able to skate.

If you want one don't buy it just take a two liter water bottle and put it under a skateboard deck

i got one for my birthday and its tottaly diffrent then taking a 2 liter bottle and skate deck. It actually is pretty easy to use but after using it for a couple hours my legs got all sore and my balance is a little better when it comes to diffrent tricks and its fun to screw around on when its raining outside.

They are really cool ! I was on a summercamp, and they had one. Most people could barely stand on it, but thanks to skating, i had no problem balancing on it:) They are really fun to use, and definetly worth a try;)

They are like big wide boards..kinda like a mini surfboard or something.
Then, you place a barrel looking thing underneath it, and then you balance on it..and you can do tricks and stuff.

balance boards will definatly help you when it comes to manuals no doubt about that. you are better of just taking an old board and a two liter though than spending cash.

3 liter bottle plus skateboard= balance board. helps me. its fun and it helps build legs and abs. good for rainy days. :D also it helps your body balance your weight better so in turn, you'll manual better.
