popwar or habitat?

i've noticed that the two most popular decks on the site are popwar and habitat, but mostly habitat. i need a new board and i have only i'm saving money currently. i like ebay cause they're cheap so i can get a complete popwar or habitat for like 50 bucks. these are what i've seen so far.

1) Popwar Lmt Ed Foster "Fine Wood Series"
2) Habitat Getz "Exposition"
3) Popwar Kenny Reed "Mindeye"
4) Habitat selego land lore

what would you guys pick if it was up to only you. ?

1st off, i would go with the habitat. now ive owned a tim o connor exposition deck, and it had one of the mellowest concaves ive ever ridden. i know this doesnt reflect on habitat itself, or the kerry getz model, but just putting it out there.

ok thanks i definetly don't want a really mellow concave so i'm probably now look more towards the getz model if i do habitat.

^i dont know about getz, but any habitat is great, you wont be disapointed i recomend www.evileds.com the have habitat decks for only $35! thats were i got mine

thanks for the recomendation but the $50 one on ebay was a complete. the deck was habitat and the other parts were from tgm skateboards it was their trucks and abec 5 bearings and shit. so it's a dam good deal. only shitty thing is $20 dollar shipping so it comes out $70 overall. still $30 less than a skate shop so not bad =p.

waht type trucks and wheels are you getting?

well since i'm kinda broke and buying it complete on ebay it comes with regular trucks and wheels from the ebay shop i'm buying from called tgm. if anybody here has ever done any business with tgm how are the trucks, wheels, and bearings? all i know is that the bearings are abec 5 which is good.

well everyone goes wit habbitat but i disagree popwar is great. I rode my friends habbitat jus didnt like the feel it was way bendy. There both great brands though if it were me i would get a popwar though

ok guys i'm likeing habitat more and more but what model has a pretty nice concave? i don't like boards that are extremely flat but also don't like boards with huge concave. which model is about in the middle regarding concave?

if u get your hands on either your lucky. it's once in a blue moon i see either at my local shop. some habitats have either the nose or tail a bit squared off. at least the ones ive seen. but my popwar has everlasting pop. it's like insane man. either one is good.

ive had both and id say get either one they are both really good decks just try to get a feel of the shape of the deck before you buy it, btw i just got a habitat tim o connor bamboo ply deck, but ive had other habitat decks before

thanks i'm buying online so i can't really get a feel for it. i'm hoping for soemone to give me a good enough description of the concave of a certain model so i can comfortably order.
