I'm thinking ahead to buy a new deck. And from what I read, I should try out my board before I buy it.

But how do I try it out? Do the people at the shop let you actually ride it? Do they let you put on your trucks and stuff and test it out?

Cause that doesn't sound right. So if they don't let you test it out. Then that means buying online and buying at a shop is no different right?

Thoughts? Thanks.

I would prefer to go to a shop because you can see the shape first hand. You get a feel for it. And you get it one the spot. you dont have to wait.

They let you stand on it and jump on it and shit. You can do shuvs and whatever to get a feel for it.

What you mean by "jump on it?" and "shuvs?"

Another thing I wanna ask about:people are saying that decks are all about preferences so basically try anything you want. Don't listen to other people's opinions.

If that's true. Should I just buy a deck for how it looks then? If I have the money and I guess what other people say doesn't matter, I mind as well buy for the graphics right?

What you think about that theory?

Stand on it and try pop shuvit on the ground in the store.

Everyone does have preferences of their own, but you should take them into consideration. I would never buy a board solely for the graphic.

When people say its about preferance, they mean its about what your used to, If its your first skateboard ask the shop worker what they would recommend for a begginer.
