Just ahead of time would like to say sorry to all the dudes that have to keep reading up on dudes that cant figure out how to ollie.... Heres the deal,, i just learned the technique for ollieing today but my problem is when i head out on the pavement(not my carpet). when i jump off my board and snap it the board seems to ROLL backwards on me causing me to almost lose my balance. ... any idea what the problem is?

um... its probably just balance and all. in the beginning, i did all of my ollies on a tiled floor. and then i took it to a wooden deck that kind of stuck to my wheels--though i wouldn't recommend it because i was constitently flying off because of cracks, nails, and ditches, and it will weaken the wood--and then i took it to like a sidewalk.

when i first started, the board would shoot behind or so. So, first i tried that and then i tried it in motion. i'm pretty sure its just balance. But, you might want to try them in motion. After you can do it motion you can do it on a sidewalk or so--plus, in your whole career of skating--practically most of the time you'll be using them in motion.

boy this was long--just keep practicing.
