George Bush does not know how to run this country. A great example is Hurricanes Rita and Katrina. The government didn't send help to the Katrina victims until a week later. The next day after Rita hit he was down there himself. The reason for this is him and Cheney are making billions of dollars a year from the oil refinaries in Texas. Also he sent an order out for a building in Iraq to be destroyed. We, meaning the U.S., bombed it. Not too long afterward, he sent an order to have it rebuilt. OUR tax money was used to rebuild this building that was recently destroyed by the U.S., the same country that had it destroyed. That is wrong. He's letting this country go to Hell. This is my opinion on the matter, tell me what you think

It's not all Bush's fault. The president should NEVER get all the praise or all the blame.

Example of this: People give Bill Clinton all of the credit for making our economy so great. If it weren't for the 104th Congress, the economy then wouldn't nearly be as great as it was.

People put everything on the president when, honestly, he doesn't have as much power as people think he does. Does some blame go to Bush, yes, a lot of it does, but don't put it all on him. There's more to the federal government than the president. As much as I dislike Bush, I am sick of everybody blaming or praising the president for every little thing.

1. He's conservative. That's what they do. They cut money. That's why they're conservatives.

2. We also have a conservative congress. Did it ever pass through your mind that maybe THEY had some part in this? I mean, after all, they ARE the ones that have the final say.

3. It's well known that the money that was given to fix the levys was not under a categorical grant, which meant that the local government was able to use it on whatever (in which case, they chose gambling). New Orleans had plenty of time and money to fix the levys, but they did not do it.

Honestly, I hate the man, but please people, quit blaming him for everything. Pretty soon, extraterrestrials are going to come and blow up the entire midwestern United States and everybody's going to sit there "Goddamn George Bush! Why didn't he give money for intergalactic defense?! He's such a bad president!"

Well, the press diddnt have have any problems getting down their right away did they? I belive they were down their the whole time. Also Bush diddnt even bother to come home from his vacation before and after it hit; and this has happened before Galveston Texas for example. Now before you say how im wrong i want you to know that I do not Blame all of this on Bush. No one could have predicted that it was going to cause this much damage but we should have reacted quicker instead of letting people just wait to die in their atics for 2 days.

Well the media were there before the hurricane hit, also it takes much less time to organize a news crew and send them to louisiana than it would to do that with the millitary. Not to mention that this shit has never happened before on this large of a scale. Also the reason he was there the day after Rita hit, was probably because his acts were under harsh criticism and he didnt want to get a whole bunch of people on his ass for Rita too. It has happened in galveston before, but it was in 1904 or so, times have vastly changed.This came out of the blue. Also you wouldnt die in your attic after two days unless you were murdered or already deathly ill.

In conclusion, dont waste time playing the fucking blame game because its not helping the courtry, and it sure as hell isnt helping new orleans.

i didnt read the topic so someone could have said this but dude thats not him thats the governor and the mayors fault that the reaction time was late not bush and he handles most situations good in my opinion. he handled 9-11 quite well and hes still handling the war in irag well. peopel say we're losing alot of peopel but if you thinkj about it in most other wars we have fought we have lost alot more in single battles. i think we just hit 2,000 in ww2 we lost more than 16 million in the entire war if you compare that to 2,000 it is a small amount
