What does everybody have against them? I've heard a lot of bad things about them from various sources (not just SB-C), so what's the problem?

I will give you two examples

My first is when I bought my first setup. I bought it from SkateAmerica because I saw there ad in transworld and they were the cheapest place (way back when you didn't have to pay to apply grip tape) anywho, I ordered a week before Christmas and it wasn't a Christmas present or anything I just wanted it. I waited till four days after Christmas to start thinking where it was. I went online and checked where it was in the mail and Skate America hasn't even shipped it. I called them they said this "We cannot ship your skateboard because the size of your trucks doesn't fit the size of the board, therefore making it impossible to setup." Then I go on explaining how they are wrong about that whole hanger size not fitting board size, remember I haven't really skateboarded before I had just looked online. That is bad in itself that someone that has never skated knows more about the board then there call center people do. Then she said let me ask my manager. Waited ten minutes she said "I am sorry I was incorrect, The wheel are out of stock would you like to order a different pair or wait a couple of weeks to a month to get those in?" Of course I wanted to change. I told her the new kind she said the new total is XXX amount of dollars. It raised about ten dollars. I asked her if there were any wheels I could get that wouldn't raise the price and she said no the price for changing the order was a raise of ten dollars. I got pissed because it hadn't shipped out yet and they didn't even bother calling me telling me they are out of stock. In the end I got my board and in the box, I just saw a board there was no receipt no protection to keep the tail/nose in tact. Very bad service

In the second incident my mom ordered some shoes and a board hanger for my wall about three weeks before 2004 Christmas. She forgot completely and it was a good Christmas. In July of 2005 we get a package from Skate America and my mom doesn't know what it is. Nobody ordered anything and my birthday wans't for three months. She opens it and sees the stuff and then remembers. In the box it has one piece of paper that says "sorry for the inconvenience". and that was it.

The are very unreliable. Do not support them or buy anthing from them. There online store isn't kept up to date. The products you buy will more then likely be out of production or sold out.

I dont know but you're a douche for saying my trucks suck. I hope that you do have a bad experience wherever you order from.

They absolutely suck. Once, I ordered 6 t-shirts from them and 3 hoodies. 3 of the shirts I didn't get until I called them, they never activated my giftcard and I got one random shirt I didn't want.
