High Tech Decks

Hey, i was wondering if the high tech decks such as armor light are really worth the extra cash. I don't really care if they are that much stronger, i just wanna know if they have that much more pop, and if they lose their pop slower. I am getting a new deck for christmas so i am contemplating getting a santa cruz power light or w/e they are called, or just a regular deck.

does it reduce chipping and loss of pop? cause if not i wouldnt pay extra cause i dont brake boards.

armorlights arent any more money than a normal deck. at least at my shop
