Vegas 4 vs. Vegas 6

A lot of people say Vegas 4 is better for editing skating, but don't really explain why. So, pros, cons? Also, does Vegas 4 run faster since it's (presumably) less advanced?

Vegas 7 is best, and it runs better than 6 (maybe 4, dont know)

There is no real difference between 6 and 4, besides that 6 can edit HD, and 4 cannot. This makes 4 easier to run, taking less memory. I use Vegas 4 by the way, and I suggest you do the same.
