favourite melbourne park

what are your favourite skate parks in melbz, mine would have to be:

- clifton hill - no one ever goes there anymore and bikers dont go there either cos theres no tranny.

- new port - love the sea-saw manny pad and the mini half bowl thingy

- the shed - indoor skatepark in cranbourne, no where good as it used to be but still good for a shred

South Kensington is alright. My dad lives in Seddon so it is easy to get to.
My favourites would have to be Prahran, Riverside and Newport.

Yarraville, it's small but still good, hardly anyone goes there anymore since Newport was built and it's right near coles, 7-11, subway, mcdonalds and some chicken place.

Don't go to the Shed, it is a while from the city, not the best skate and above all it costs money. Prahran is a killer skate park. Keep an eye out for Renton Millar, Duston Dollin etc.

I went to Prahran park, I like it. I spent like the whole time in that minipipe / bankfilled bowl shaped area at the bottom, was fun. I would've had a good go in the minipipe, but its made from metal and I just cant bring myself to do metal ramps anymore after my accident... that strange grindbox monolith is really wierd, but it was being used flat out so I didn't go much there. Saw some rollerbladers having a session in the half pipe, doing like rodeo to fakies and stuff :)

I'm thinking I might go there each Monday before my night class on the Prahran campus.

I was coming down off that, but the metal was really slippery and it completely slid out just at the bottom. My reactions were shit because of the hangover and I got a blood nose, concussion, 3 skull fractures, a bruised nerve that controlled some of my right eye movement and 4 days in hospital. Now I cant stand metal ramps. Even though it wasn't really the ramps fault, the board just slid out like butter...

Clifton Hill is the best park ever man... i skate there all the time. Riverslide is good but it gets packed and frankston is the sooo sweet, except theres like a 90% chance you'll get stabbed.

My school is actually in prime location between Prahan and Riverslide.
Its a half hour walk to prahan, or a 10 minute tram, and Riverslide is a 5 minute tram ride.....YAY!

Riverslide is alright during daylight but once I went there with a couple of mates at about 8:30am before the guys had opened the shop and a guy was passed out on the roof of the building in the corner and we though he was dead. Turned out he had just had a bad trip the night before.

all parks are messed up, i try to skate at ones with alot of people, or skate at the YMCA ran parks.
