THE 360 FLIP (The 3 FLIP, TRE FLIP)

For starters, if this trick is not in your tricktionary, you need to have it. It is a very common trick because of it's awesome look.

Before attempting the 360 flip, you sohuld know how to:

Kickflip
shoveit
Varial kickflip

If you knwo those, you are ready to go!

FOOT PLACEMENT

FRONT FOOT: You're front foot should be positioned at a 45 degree angle and on the right edge of the board if you are goofy and the left edge if you are regular. You sohuld have it so all of your foot is hanging off the edge except for the ball of your foot to your toes. If you know what i mean. Your front foot sohuld be position about halfway down the board.

BACK FOOT:

***YOUR BACK FOOTS POSITIONING IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN THE TRICK***

Your back foot will be positioned on the opposite edge of the tail as your front foot is on the board. On the tail, you want about half your toes hanging off so that you can use your back foot to SCOOP the board around.

Now that we have the foot placement, lets move on to how to actually do the trick!

THE FLIP:

FRONT FOOT

To flip the 360 flip, you are going to want to slide your front foot diagonally off the board as if yo uwere just doing a kickflip. This will give your board it's flip but be sure to slide it off diagonally or the trick won't work.

AT THE SAME TIME

BACK FOOT

Your back foot (which is on the opposite side of the tail is your front foot was on the board) will have one very simple job and that job is to scoop the board as if to do a 360 shove it. You must remember to give it a VERY hard scoop.

So, now that we know the motions and foot positioning, at this time you have almost learned the 360 flip!

THE CATCH

At his point the board has spun the 360 flip. However, one thing you really need to remember is to jump with the board after you flip it. This will make the catch easier because in most cases the board ends up beside where you were but this is not a problem.

So, now that you know you have to jump with the board, the 360 flip should have just finished spinning under your legs.

What you will now do is, catch the board with your front foot, then bring your back foot over the board AND STOMP DOWN. The stomping will cause the board to stop spininng so the board only flips the 360 flip.

There you go! A tre!

TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem - The board always spins a kickflip and a half

Solution - Move your front foot to more of the middle of the board

Problem - I can't get the full 360 rotation.

Solution - This takes alot of practice but make sure your foot as the half of the toes hanging off the edge so you can get a better 360 scoop!

Problem - The board always hits my feet.

Solution - Don't be afraid to jump high and suck your legs up to avoid that!

HOPE THIS HELPS,

The board landing behind you might be because you are not slideing your foot off diagonally.

If you just slide your foot off horizonally, nothing is pushing the board forward so it won't go forward with you.

Make sure you slide off diagonally that should fix it

That is very well explained, just one thing. The scoop is different from a 360 shuvit, cause you need to get the board sort leaning 45 degrees in the opposite way of the flip with your back foot so your front foot catches on and flicks easier. Don't know if it's that way for everyone.

Concentrate on the scoop more and you should get the whole rotation.
