Hey, my friend wants to get his first real setup, but he is still a beginner, so he was wondering if anyone ever got a West 49 complete as a first beginner setup and if it would actually be good for a beginner(or do they suck completely?). Also I heard that they come with abec 3's so I'd give him one of my old sets of Reds. Please give your opinions, thanks.

If he's just begining, then tell him to get a cheap Wal-Mart board. Or one of those World setups.

He is a beginner, don't be mean to him and give him reds, let him keep the abec 3s. And i've never heard of the complete, just tell him to get a blank set up then like some nice pro deck. He doesn't need something super expencive for like 2 or 3 months.
