4 (2n - 5) = 3n + 10
(simplify the brackets...)
8n - 20 = 3n + 10
(-3n from each side)
5n - 20 = 10
(+20 on both sides)
5n = 30
(divide by 5 to break it down to just one n)
n = 6
replace n with 6 to check if its right

What year of school are you in? In one year you do a hell of a lot of that sorta stuff.

That shit is hard but eventually you'll get it.

first you need to distribute
so... 8n-20=3n+10
Then you have to get the n's on one side so
8n-20=3n+10
-3n -3n
5n-20=10
+20 +20
So 5n=30
Devide each side by 5
so n=6

use distributive law( get rid of parenthasies).
4 (2n - 5) = 3n + 10
8n - 20 = 3n + 10
now, its varriables on both sides of the equation.just move them over and switch the sign(+ or - on the ones that u move across the = .
8n - 3n = 10 + 20
5n = 30 now divide and u get the answer:n = 6

i think he means add a rep point but he cant for some reson
We're on the same things. I hate it. Some problems are so easy but some are a bitch. I just got done doing the homework for it. They need a website where you just type it in and it shows you step by step.
