What's all this "Pass with merit" shit i keep hearing about?
I swear they never had that in my day.
My GCSE's were horrible, 1A, 3B's, 4C's, 1D.
My AS's weren't that great either, D, E, & U.
However i've upped some AS's, now giving me; 3A's, 1B, 1C, 1D, & 1U.
Quite alot of AS's i know, but i did have 2 years to do them. :D
Hopefully i'll be looking at getting 3A's and 1B at A2.

what does that mean
Vivica

It means this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guernsey
...If you read bits of that you'll understand that technically, we're British islands, speak English, and use the GBP (as well as Guernsey pounds, which are also Sterling).
So Yes, i'm British, but... only politically.

KICK HIM! HE'S FRENCH! Ha ha.
Pass with Merit refers to GNVQ courses.
They aren't like standard GCSE's. You can get a pass, merit or distinction.
A distinction relates to 4 GCSE A's, a merit 4 GCSE B's, and a pass is 4 GCSE C's.

There's no such things as a GCSE G, but yes, I have heard that joke before.

Well done, somebody had to say it.
I'm quite chuffed with my current AS's, having atleast one of every single grade except E...
...Its almost worth taking one just so i can get an E, then i'd have the whole set!
Having said that, i can't find any of my actual certificates from GCSE, and don't remember getting any actual certificates from AS... So yay.
I'm going to bed. Dicks.

actually singapore still does the O level system we call it GCE O levels too,
and our country has to be a dip*****from primary school to enter secondary(high school for you guys)we have the normal academic stream, and the express stream, express stream does 4 years andcompletes wiht a GCE O LEVEL cert, the normal academic does 5 years,in the 4th year they must take teh GCE 'N level examination.N stands for normal, then if we must get 10 points an dbelow to move on to the 5th year and take GCE O LEVELS,so happens i am in normal academic stream gotta take my N levels this year,i know no other country has N levels only us,yea all our papers are marked in london
