People have been writing some wonderful articles and some would have even had their article posted up. I've recently been asked by a memeber about writing content and what they should do it on so heres a little guide.
1. Write about something you have used/seen or experienced.
Have you recently bought a new board that is the best thing you have ever ridden? Make a review about it. Same with trucks and wheels. Have you seen a skate video that you thought was the bomb? Is there something you've experienced in the recent world of skatebording? A change or a philosophy?
Write about it, read some of the content writers articles for a general idea.
2. Make sure you use appropriate launguage and spelling. I don't think to many people want to read a review that says " OMG Lyk3 R0dn3y Mull3n's n3w part pwnzzzz". Thats just irritating.
3. Explain. Don't write board review and simply put "this was the best board ever". Explain why it was the best board ever. Explain as much as you can.
4. Make the article intersting, no one wants to read a boring article. If you follow a basic english essay stucture, you should be able to create a great article.
5. Don't talk from first person. "I thought" or " It took me forever to break" won't help the reader because for all they know, you could be a beginner that does'nt go throught too many shoes or decks. Point out strong points such as " It can take a while to wear these shoes down because of the front surport".
6. Write because you can. Not because you want something published. Sometimes your articles might get published and sometimes they might not. Write because your passionate about it, not because you want your name in lights.
Try applying these techniques to your writing and see what happens?
