This trick is fun to do when you're at a place with really smooth ground. Like the deck of a halfpipe. So basically its an Ollie but the end of your tail never leaves the ground, so it slides and your board is almost vertical. This looks cool when your just cruising, espesially if you Shifty it a little. Here's a Nosegrab Shifty one by Mike V, http://media.putfile.com/Mike-V-Tailslide
So what you have to do is the following.
1. Give the tail a hard pop, but instead of bringing your foot up, keep it on the ground. So this is really more of a push instead of a pop.
2. Slide your front foot like you were doing a small Ollie. Make sure to bring it towards you so the board can be as vertical as possible in order for the back wheels to leave the ground.
3. As your sliding, make sure to keep your weight on your tail, pushing it forward, for maximum sliding time.
3b. (This is for when you know the straight version and want to Shifty Tailslide.) When you push forward, start turning your legs in the direction you want to Shifty, and push your back foot in the direction. When you've Shiftied all you want,(which shouldn't really be that much)use your front foot to get the board straight again.
4. To complete the trick, simply push your front foot to the ground.
Troubleshooting:
"I always end up Ollieing."
What you need to do is after you pop, remember to keep your back foot pressured to the ground.
"My back wheels stay on the ground."
You need to pop hard and bring your front foot toward you in order to get the board vertical enough to have only the tail on the ground. Or you could try grabbing the nose and pulling it toward you.
Some variations to this trick are:
Nosegrab
Shifty
Crail
Thanks for reading my trick tip and I hope you find this trick as fun as I do.
NOTE: Doing this trick on normal concrete will bive you really bad razortail, so I suggest you get a piece of wood, wax it, and do it on there.
