Use a firewire (faster and higher quality) or a USB (slower and lower quality) cable and upload the photos/video to your computer using either a video editing program (Windows Movie Maker for you probably) or supplied software.

so is firewire a downloadable product, or is it a cord you buy or something?

Pretty sure it's just a plug n play cord but SVideo works too. And if it's a really old camera you'll have to use composite (white red, yellow). I use SVideo but don't get sound for some reason.

First off, do you have a mini dv or digital 8 camera? If yes, you have to buy a firewire cord. Also, check to see if your computer has a firewire port. If not, you will have to buy a pci card. I got mine for $5 on ebay and it came with a cable too.

EDIT: This is the exact same package I bought:

would the red+white+yellow cords from a ps2 work? because i think it is usb, and the colored cords would go into my camera? or the computer?

Well if your camera is not digital, you need something called like vhs video creator or some shit. I have no idea what the correct name is, I think skatefactor had one and slapdown had one also, so ask them.
