Posers. There are many messages implied into this word, such as sucker, wannabe, noobie, and what-have-you. A popular word in the skateboarding world to inform people who "acts" and "dresses" like a skater but actually don't skate. Are there really posers in this world? Sure they wear what skaters wear, but wouldn't you think that they have an idea like "skaters are cool, i wanna be like them...BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW TO SKATE!" It's one of those peer pressures that make them want to fit in. "OOO you wear vans/etnies shoes and H.I.M. shirts, you're a freaking poser." What better way to provoke a fight. There are no such thing as posers. Skateboarding is getting accepted as a trend and fashion, and there is no way to stop it. To conclude this, my point is, be yourself, be individualistic. So please stop the violence and just go skate.

I think thats what the skatebording comunity in general does'nt like the thought of. Skateboarding has been a pass time, a hobby, a sport and a way of life for alot of us and im sure that we would'nt want something that we love so much turn into a "trend" or a "fad" like pogs or yoyos.

In general what does it matter if some kids wear the gear and carry around the boards for the image, let them. They just make themselves look like idiots. All that matters is that the true skaters keep the sport where the heart is and just keep ripping it.

and i consider a poser a dude who talks the talk but cant walk the walk. i dont consider a poser a dude whe wears skate gear, as long as he know he sucks and he admits it
