Never listen to only one genre and style of music, its a huge mistake to do so.
Keep an open mind and give other styles and bands a chance.
You'd be supprised how many good bands you'll miss by only caring for only one genre.

Yeah man.

Musics alot like making love
Sometimes you want it soft and tender
Other times you want it hard and aggresive

Unfortunately you can't marry them though. Gay marriage and polygomy both... Well, maybe if they allow gay marriage in Utah and you all move there...

Because he fails at being funny, as do most people here (including me) and if someone doesn't tell him, who will?

polygamy is legal in Utah.

there are lots of Mormons in Utah.

You didn't know these things? It's common knowledge.

His mind will slowly rapture the thought that he is a douchebag.

I agree. I never thought I would say this, but lately I've been liking some of those pop-punk bands that dress emo.

I know that... But at least that means that I'm clean and get more action than you do, right?

Why must you bring or even mention political issues into this thread? Damn you, damn you all. I will not forget this.

I'm not either, but I'm going to end with two things.

1. The remark to you was a joke, you couldn't expect me to not respond to your joke.

2. This also started because he claims that I'm not funny based on a friendly joke that he didn't even understand, so the who argument there really shouldn't be valid. In the words of Bob Dylan "Don't criticize what you can't understand." Oh well. I'm done.

Well I'm not gonna go to deep, as I'm liking bands that I always hated without even hearing a song, but one band I've been liking is Halifax. I had never heard of them until a few days ago, but they seem pretty good, and it's not my kind of music.

I mainly listen to metal, but I also like jazz, classical (especially high tempo), drum n' bass, and those crazy solos in bluegrass (I'm not sure what instrument they're played on, but I know it is a plucked string instrument) songs.

I just try to take my stuff genre-by-genre before I widen my perspective.

I listen to Hip-Hop and rap, but like to check out metal, alternative, and 80s bands as well.

sounds nice and relaxed.

but yea, i was havin a similar convo with a friend the other day about how i needed to broaden my musical horizons. i already listen to virtually every genre u can mention, but 95% of the time i'll just listen to heavy shit. and i've noticed that when i break off from listening solely to metal, and put some soothing grooves, funky breaks or old classics on, then i find that my mood is greatly improved and i'm not such an introvert. kinda speaks reams about how much music affects your outlook or mood...
