Could anyone exsplain to me what " industrial " music is, like Nine Inch Nails, has been called "Industrial Rock", im jsut Curious, i looked it up on wikipedia but dident get what they were on about.

Extra sounds in the backround, hard guitars and kinda deep grungy vocals.

i always thought industrial meant that ther was more sound then just vocals, guitars, basses n drums

Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein all fall under the category.

it's called industrial because the riffs in the songs sound like a machine. only industrial bands i heard of though are Strapping Young Lad, Rammstien,
Static-X, and some of Ministry's music.

I think Ynot's descriptions is somewhat simplistic but it works, and BLacklabel/\'s too. I've only liked one Industrial band and that's Ministry. Their guitarist Mike Scaccia is mainly the reason for that. He's freaking great. He was also in the Thrash Metal band Rigor Mortis from Texas, so anyone who's interested in hearing some of the best guitarwork in Thrash Metal, check out their first/self-titled album.
