I ride shop decks (UK brand) when ive got no money (cause they are £10 and shit hot), otherwise i would always ride Heroin. Best UK brand there is, in my opinion, with probably the best skate team (I mean this in their style and uniqueness of tricks..there is no denying that Blueprint has one of the craziest teams around)

i had a landscape deck, a through out excelent deck but broke kickflipping a two set. but thats my fault, not the decks. ive had blueprint 'belong' deck, and that was an amzing deck, lasted me longest ive had. i had a union deck hoever that was super weak and old not even too sure if they are british. and now its down to a route one blank. i bought one because i knew they were made in the same factory as blueprint decks were. and dang did it turn out good. it is an excellent deck, still riding it now. one of the best decks ive had, and only 25 pounds

Loads of people are like nah man fuck route one supporting sos (skater owned skateshops) is the way to go, probably true but route one decks (they dont make blanks anymore due to all this blanks are bad controversey) have skated better personally to me then all the pro decks ive had.

The cheaper option whch are fracture decks are pretty good, im skateing a fracture dollar bill which supposedly fracture donate money to indoor skateparks for every deck sold, its a pretty good board had it a fair while, nice shape, good pop. Wouldnt really reccomend there other products such as trucks or wheels though there bearings are good and there clothes are of good quality too.

yeah, id probably prefer to buy from sos, but they are generally a lot more expensive than route one, and when route one has a 75% sale on there isnt really any competition to be honest. and yeah, fracture trucks are pretty, and i dont really like the boards either, but my fracture bearings have been really good and thy're cheap.

Haha i guess im being a bit biast as ive only ever had two pro boards, a krooked deck and popwar. Both were good dont get me wrong but i dunno, i guess its the price that puts me off.

Id rather skate a brand that i know is fairly decent and a good price, then shed out for a brand that i havnt had any experience with and find its not that great. Meh ill probs buy a reccomended pro board one day.

Are size 8 decks any good?

We have just opened up an online skate shop ( Kickflip Co. ) :-D and we have got quite a few UK skate brands on the go.

Our best sellers seem to be the Herion decks and the death boards seem fairly popular too. We also stock the new Enuff logo decks which are really cheap and since they changed the way they manufacture them, they are a hell of a lot better. Can't go wrong with these especially for anyone who is a beginner!
