I figure this may help alot of people who are interested in GIF images.

Usually your going to want the clip that your making it from to be short. (Especially if its for a myspace, somewhere around 3-5 seconds should do it. no bigger.)

Now open Adobe After Effects. Click File, then go to Import (not import recent footage). Then click file, and search for the clip you want and double click on it.

Now go to Composition and choose Add to render queue.

Now you should see 2 things listed under the clip. Current settings, and lossless.

Click on Curent settings. Now here is what the setting should be

Quality - Best
Resolution - Current settings
Proxy Use - Use no proxys
Effects - Current settings

Frame Blending - On For checked layers
Feild Render - Off
3:2 Pulldown - Off
Motion Blur - On For checked layers
Timespan - Work Area Only
Overide Shutter - Do not check the box and it should be at 180

Use the frame rate of 15

Now thats that. Now to do the Lossless settings.

Format - Animated GIF
Post Render Action - none

Now click Format Options
and they should be like this.

Color Palette - Web safe
Transperancy - none

and both Dithering and Looping should be checked.
Now click ok.

The channels should be RBG, the depth should be Millions of colors, And color should be Premultiplied (matted)

Now check the stretch box, and change the part that says custom to small, 160 x 120.

Now click ok, and click render.

Now that should help with making GIFS on ADobe.
