Me wents to canberra for three days..

Just got back from three days in Canberra with the tribe. Had a ball.

Here is what we did:

# War Memorial - superb exhibits. The G for Goerge display is amazing (free - but give them a few coins donation)
# Telstra Tower for a looksee ($4.40 don't go on a foggy d, but our motel gave us a discount voucher which also gave us a free coffee each)
# Questacon - (concession is $10.50. this place is fantastic)
# Played Golf at Duntroon ($17)
# Visited parliament house- fantastic tour and an amazing building (free)
# The Mint. paid $2.50 to get my very own self stamped one dollar coin what a bargain ;-) (free)
# Drove around the parliamentary circle, embassies etc
# National Museum - wierdest building in Canberra (free - nicve little display called "Circa -a revolving theatre) the gift shop had some very cheap souvenirs/clothes etc)
# Visitors centre on Northbourne avenue- good for info.
# Casino Canberra - just another casino.
# Dickson. we could walk here from the motel, and it is a little Chinatown. Mrs Mudd, being chinese, shopped her heart out, whilke the boys were hitting golf balls.

I wouldn't worry about the Botanic Gardens at this time of year. We drove past it to get to the Telstra tower, and everything is green. This place, i reckon, will be stunning in spring.

The weather was great. we hot there on Subday and left about 1pm yesterday. cold in the mornings but terrrific for the rest of the day.

One thing I can highly reccomend for those of you who don't likr to rough it:

We stayed at the Yowani Country Club. Because I am a member of a reciprocal club we offered a greart deal. all three of us for $89 per night (Normally $130) Thge golf cousre was good, and the place had 2 12' snooker tables so the lad and I were able to play a game or three at night. However, the real bargain is their restaurant. It is fullu genuinely 5 star. In the meals and in the standard of service. Tiesday nights are special where you can have 2 courses for $18 or 3 courses for $22. the steak filled the plate!

Real life, plenty of times, he's never done anything to me so i cant talk shit about him or anything, but a while ago firstly bass hill skateparks, a kid who was alright was practising kickflips and fell once and chima laughed and insulted him, other places he just runs round like he owns everything, while yes he's one of the better young skaters of sydney and i have nothing but respect for his skating and what he has accomplished, as a person im not a fan due to things ive seen but once again i dont know him personally, so it isnt a personal attack.

arrgghh, last time i went there a little kid was in the line in front of me for the freefall. but he wouldn't let go. he just hung there for ages and then got back up-which is fine he was only 10 but then when the staff tries to let other people through while he gets his confidence up he starts shouting saying its his go and not to push in.
He took two more tries before everyone else before giving up and slinking off-fucking aggravating, i felt like shaking him.

Anyway, apart from slideshow i didn't find questacon that awsome. hey could anyone get that "mind paint" thing happening. Mine did stuff but it seemed kind of random..

I've heard live AFL games are considerably better than NRL these days. The NRL games are almost as good on the tv than live, whereas the AFL games have a great live atmosphere or something and on tv is shit compared to live.
