Shallow is a small concave, deep is a big one.

Pop is when you pop the tail or nose of your board, and the wheels come off the ground.

yeha man pop is also used to describe how much pop there is. like a dead old board would have little weak pop but a fresh deck would have crisp and powerful pop. the concave is where the board starts to turn into the nose and tail. some of the concaves are more deeper than others. mellow concaves are good mostly for slides and any non flip related trick. deep concaves allow for better flipage of the board. it all depends on what you like, personally i like a concave in between. not too flat not too deep.

Haha, your sig has perfect english.

Anyways, the concaves are used for turning, too, like for carving a hill, it helps turn.
