My friend sent me this article via e-mail and I personally think it's a travesty.

The beauty of a British Lions tour was that it was our own little island, doing battle with the south hemisphere.

I don't like the inclusion of France and Italy. While both have good talented players, it doesn't feel right being the European Lions.

Also, with the imminant inclusion of Romania to the six nations (soon to be the seven nations), this would mean the British Lions would soon have seven nations within it.

Eventually, the British Lions will be including so many Northern Hemisphere teams, the Lions tours will become a battle of North vs South, and thats not what the tours are about.

I say we should keep the British Lions as is, and then have a separate Northern hemisphere team, which would have the majority of the British Lions in it.

Another beauty of the British Lions is, no language barriers. Thats now been ruined by the inclusion of frogs and wops.

Opinions and views.

Oh, I heard about that. None of my mates or my rugby coach believed me.

The point of BRITISH and IRISH Lions is that the squad only contains players from BRITAIN and IRELAND. Its not the point of the tour and they would no longer be called Lions.

However, if we did get players like Mirco Bergamasco playing for the team, it would maybe pull us up from the 3 straight losses in '05...

Even worse!

How is that worse? Australia - On a string of 8 losses. New Zeland - Destroying everyone who they play.

I saw the last 5 minutes. I wasn't a bit suprised by the result. That England team only formed about...5 weeks ago. We're only at the beginning of our building process. Also, Australia looked very good, whereas England looked really inexperienced.

yh thats kind of gay cause they already do that north vsouth charity game, though they are second rate sides cause of the six nations being on at the same time
