Deck Width

i wear 11.5 size shoes my old deck was 7.5 wide now my new one is 7.75. Does the width make any difference or is it just what you are used too?

what i think is that if you buy like a 7.5 its good for spinning and 7.75 and up are good for landing but i would go with a 7.5 because i have smaller feet i have a 9.5 foot so i went with the 7.5 but if i was you i would think the 7.75 or an 8 are pretty good because you have pretty big feet

the thinner the deck the lighter and the better it flips, I've got size 11 (size 12 is the US) and I prefer the ride a 7.5

Almost every pro that go for stairs or handrails skate 8 or 8.25.

I have 9 in shoes, and i skate 7.75.

Of course we all know it's impossible to kickflip with a deck that is any biger than 8"....

It's really not all that big after you get used to it. 8.25" feels like the perfect size for street to me. Anything smaller than 8" feels like it's literally a popsicle. I have no clue how anyone can skate such small boards without losing control of the board.

By the way, ramp skating boards are usually at least 8.5" Even 8.25" feels a bit unstable when skating bowls.

skinnier boards flip easierbut are harder to land fatter boards are harder to flip but earier to land.not a huge difference between 7.5 n 7.75 but im a 7.5 guy but then again my shoes are 8.5.
