I'm tired of only seeing guitar/bass threads. It's time some drummers got some respect.

Who plays drums here? What kit do you have?

I'v been playing for 5 years and have a Gretsch Catalina Birch kit

well obviously Buddy Rich, and then for some sweet jazz drummers Dennis Chambers, Abe Laboral Jr. and for rock drummers, Mike Portnoy, and Neil Pert. Thats just a few of my favorites..

Hmm, I gotta go with Michael Shrive, David Garhibalhi, Neil Pert or Buddy Rich.

Damn, thats a sweet kit. Mines small, but there's no metal rimming around the wood so all of the sound come through.

Gretch Kit:
Snare: 14"
Toms: 12", 14", 18" floor tom

Cymbals:
Sabian Double A High-Hats
Sabian Double A Crash, 12:
Sabian Double A, 20-ish"

Other:
Hi-Hat mount Tambourine (hell yeah)
Cow Bell (cause I got a fever)
Remo heads (I love their sounds)
Ahead 7A sticks. They're carbon cores with a plastic cover and metal handles. $30, but they're perfectly weighted and never break

yeah, i have ahead sticks and i actually hate them! I mean, its cool they never break and that they obsorb are shock resistint, but i think they sound terrible on rides.

yeah i use wicked big sticks (pro mark 2b)so its hard to play quiet and u dont really get a ping sound from the ride

yeah, with Ahead sticks its much louder and more of a "clank" kinda sound. My ride sounds awful as it is;/

iv got a big electric kit which means my mum cant hear me which means she cant kill me. im ok at them seeing as i have only been playing for a few months

Ipswitch

is it just an electric pad thing, or is it a drum set, with electric toms and cymbals? I want a Roland V-Drums set. Oh man, that would be so sweet.

Yeah, aheads are a little heavy sometimes. I still play with wood a lot.

I had regal tips. They were way too thin for me. I like some nice Nylon Tip 7AN Vic-Firth

im not the biggest fan of nylon tips. I prefer wood tips myself. Nylon tips dont last as long, and they always break for me.
