Hello I live in a apt complex and its fairly big and the only place I can skate is on this rough road, which has rocks and pebbles and everytime I push I stop like 2 seconds later. there is a little part on the sidewalk that is smooth but its like 6 feet and I can't do anything like that. I need a wheel that can get over that, the size wheels I would like are 52,53, and I never tried 54 but what the heck.

And the wheels that I have are bones 100s

I'm going from a 100a to a 95a. will that be a big difference on the terrain i'm skating?

Try going bigger. I skate really, really rough spots. I won't go any smaller than 56mm. 99a is a pretty good hardness for rough stuff. 101 or 100 is way too hard. Just throw a 1/4" riser under your trucks. It takes some getting used to...but you'll get used to it pretty quickly.

I had this same issue. I was in alaska for a while and my STF's weren't cutting it on the rough walking paths and roads. I downgraded to 54mm bones 100s. The wheels are slightly softer than the STF's. They grip very well and dont flatspot much. They work for all terrain. My skateboard still feels like a skateboard and not a longboard

if you just want to set up a cruiser, try oj key frames. or bones atf. or any soft wheel
