Reds. I had spit fire classics and they were good but the shields kept falling out.

You can get a set of Mini Logo bearings for less than 10 bucks most places. They perform just as well as Reds, although they are a bit louder and hiss a bit.

Reds bearing is mostly what I ride. But if you have the money, go for Bones Swiss.

The Diamond Supply Co Hella Fast Bearings wear down pretty fast, they get dirty fast also, but with the shields still on, dirt doesn't bother them.

Spitfire Cheap Shots Bearings don't fit well in most wheels so they don't let you ride smooth. They break easily and don't really last long at all.

Reds are low priced, high quality, great for a first set of bearings, and very low maintenance. I could not really think of any cons I've had with these bearings.

So really, i would recommend Reds!

Just like popping the shields off swiss, just not as fast ;)

The only issue with ML bearings are the shields. I've had bad luck with the metal shields falling off on my last set. Other than that, you can't beat the price.
