Post your favorite band and/or artist here.
And of course you can tell why do you like it that much and etc.

My favorite changes at least a few times a month. I mean, I have my all time tops, but I go more by flavors of the moment.

Right now it's The 1975 :: The 1975 - The City - YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6Y2FVD5JVw)

Hann's guitar work is too good. Can't wait for the debut album.

I've always loved Guttermouth. Mark Adkins' coked-out hyperwailing never gets old to me.

Bomb The Music Industry, easily. Besides writing some of the most relatable and original music I've ever heard in my life, they've pushed the DIY envelope pretty far, from giving their music away on their donation-based record label to hand making merch to encouraging fans to learn their songs and play with them at shows. They're also one of the most fun bands to see live, exclusively playing $10 all ages shows in small intimate venues where they hang out before and well after their set. It's no secret that I'm a huge fan, and if you're into punk at all I implore you to check them out.

^The concept sounds awesome, I may give them a listen for that alone.

My favorite is still Clutch atm, I hop around here and there but I still have my core of bands I prefer.

They're a little hard to get into because they tend to jump around a bit genre wise. They've got a dosage of ska songs along with songs with synthesizers and folk stuff. Their latest album Vacation is probably their most accessible, and well done album.

I‘m going to be mainstream and piss the hipsters off by saying: Coldplay, One Republic, Macklemore, Andy Grammer and Green Day. Suck it indie bees. (As you can see I don’t swear. I just use random bs in replacement.) Is bs considered a swear? Yes? Ok. Nevermind.

Thrice is my all-time favorite band, and have influenced a ton of my music tastes. Otherwise, my favorites include Basement, Fireworks, The Wonder Years, and Balance & Composure are up there.

however, taste-wise, my most important bands are probably Thrice (yup), Radiohead, The Smiths, Starflyer 59, DCFC, and Modest Mouse.

and the guy who mentioned Bomb The Music Industry! knows what's up. Got all this band's discog, so good. And inspirational in the way Jeff handles music. Vacation is the summer album.

BTMI is an awesome band , but Vacation is my least favorite album, listen to Good bye Cool World, its more energetic and fun then Vacation. Also, Unknown if you like BTMI listed to The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (same lead singer) they are sick too. Favorite bands as of right now are NoFx, Dubbest, Atmosphere, and Spunge. :-D

They're a little hard to get into because they tend to jump around a bit genre wise. They've got a dosage of ska songs along with songs with synthesizers and folk stuff. Their latest album Vacation is probably their most accessible, and well done album.

the_unknown_soldier

I didn't say Vacation's my favorite. I meant most well done in terms of production, and the fact that for their last couple years of activity they had a solid line up of members. Scrambles or Get Warmer might be my favorites, but it's so hard to choose. Jeff Rosenstock is my favorite songwriter and I absolutely love everything that he's done. ASOB's pretty good, as is Kudrow. But I'm digging the fuck out of his solo album that he put out last year, as well as the random stuff he's put out recently.

Genesis was onto some mystically powerful stuff in the early 70s. There's literally nothing like this save maybe a couple other progressive bands (in different ways) and then the copycats that will never touch that level of magic. The only downfall depending on your point of view is that the lyrics are about some totally ridiculous stuff on occasion. For instance, Return of the Giant Hogweed about the origin, nature, personification of and combat against phototoxic weeds..

I loved every one of their albums wven Underoath went from dallas to spencer and when MCS's drummer tony left, I still love the band.. tony! why you leave! Haha. And I Loved how Saosin cept their same style of drmming and amazing guitar riffs even after they went from anthony to cove singing. :D
