oh and pretty much anything by JFA. that raw surf/skate theme kills.

knife man and can't maintain by andrew jackson jihad

castle talk. if you have to look it up you don't deserve the most beautiful gritty sounds of marissa.

double nickels. MM is an amazing band. it's like everything they put out was rough jewels. tons of talent played through shitty equipment to not-enough-people.

anyone who listens to nofx is probably not someone i want to be friends with

my top ten are probably something like
descendents- everything because they're my favorite band
punkin pie- broke truck good luck song
le tigre- le tigre
blink-182- cheshire cat
propagandhi- less talk, more rock
japanther- skuffed up my huffy
jammy dodgers- skive off
saves the day- can't slow down
minor threat's discography
osker- idle will kill

i really hate almost all english punk except london calling kind of and the toy dolls. and i hate everything that branched off it like oi and street punk

i only very infrequently listen to really loud powerviolency stuff but i also really like some crusty stuff but in general those are genres i'd truly love to be really into but my personality flaw is that i don't really like loud things which makes me a really uncool punk but i'm really uncool anyway

also the germs anthology and afi's all hallows ep are legit. i used to be really into the dead boys but the kind of give me the creeps now. i'm more of a ska kid anyway.

edit: drizz made me remember rohnert park and my war. i actually have a ceremony inspired tattoo, as anyone who's listend to sick/into the wayside pt 1 will understand why i have the word sick on my arm

I'm sure there's parts of Punk in Drublic and White Trash you could dig, especially if you love Descendents and early Propagandhi.

On the topic of Descendents, they were easily one of the best bands I've ever seen live. So so so awesome. I also feel this thread needs more ALL.

i have to admit that it's 50% bias, because blink and nofx are both offensive as FUCK, but half of it is that i got really into blink when i was like, 6 years old because my dad loved them listened to dude ranch in the car pretty constantly whenever we drove anywhere. i guess just because they're the first band i ever remember ever actually liking is why blink is a band that i actually still listen to, but also because cheshire cat is their only album i still like and its significantly less fucked up than shit they say in their later albums. the other half is that i just feel like nofx has said inexcusably offensive things just to be shocking (not that blink hasn't but i already explained my bias) and i just never liked them. i know that it kind of doesn't make sense, but i'm just saying you can totally like something and still be really critical of it, and i don't listen to blink a whole awful lot anymore because of how much i dislike some of the shit they say, even though i honestly know they're just fucking around.

Should probably second Baby Jesus Sliced Up in the Manger was a great split for sure. Songs From Under the Sink is easily a winner, too!

Run Your Pockets - No Cash
Everything Sucks - Descendents (anything by them is fine by me tho)
Inhumane - Koffin Kats
Dance With Me - T.S.O.L.
Rather Be Hated Than Ignored - Lower Class Brats (among a bunch of their others)
Big Daddy Multitude - Mustard Plug

There are so many almost perfect albums that I could probably give props to, like Life Goes On (Adicts). Crass and Infested did all the thinking for me, though, so I don't know about getting to into it with a full-on list of my own. :p

hahah, yeah riskit, i was thinking about saying in that post that i have way less of a problem with nofx than i do with gg allin to an extent so extreme that i practically love nofx in comparison. but saying i wouldn't be your friend or something is a little dramatic, i'd just severly question someone's personal politics in regards to their musical choices and stuff. just because i don't like being a dramatic asshole who writes people off over stupid things like that
