anyone know if they're worth listening to? randomly stumbled across on youtube, and most of their songs seem decent to me (I also have pretty shitty taste in music).
in general I'm not a big fan of indie bullshit, but that might change

I much prefer tokyo police club if you're gunna go for the whole super high energy pop.

Eh, Two Door Cinema Club are alright. I liked them a lot when I first heard them, but they're the type of band that gets stale quick. They have incredibly catchy songs, but after I heard them enough, I got really sick of it. I don't listen to them much anymore. Plus, all of their songs sound very, very similar. They only have one full album out, so it'll be interesting to see if they can mix up their sound in the future, but for now, they're a solid meh.

I agree with the people above, Tokyo Police Club is better and there are other bands in that indie pop genre that are more worth your time than TDCC, for sure. Check out Phoenix if you haven't already.

Actually, fuck TDCC, they suck. I just listened to them again and it's just annoyingly catchy pop music. There are better bands in this style.

Quoting this big ass album cover because it too changed my life.

I'm going out on a limb here and saying A Lesson In Crime is my favorite album/ep that ever has been produced. It's a shame they lose a little bit of their energy with every release.

Totally agreed I haven't been into the later stuff.

foals is so tight too. the antidotes album is so solid.
and as far as tpc i was always more of an elephant shell fan. but i had most of the songs from a lesson in crime and i loved them too.

edit: im now listening to my old TPC and its making my eyes well up a little bit. its some of the only shit i listened to in my freshman year of highschool that i can still really enjoy. i had a playlist of a bunch of songs but mainly tpc that i played over and over and over while doing my homework. (before i learned how to illegally download shit)
This is gonna sound really lame, but its fucking weird how the music stays the same but you change so much.

shit. i found them through one of the first skate videos i ever watched, and it was a local shop video of all these dudes i just idolized. Nostalgia kicking in so hard right now.

Elephant Shell is "meh", Champ makes me want to rip off my ears and feed them to dogs.

The acoustic songs he plays off Elephant Shell are cool. I don't really mind a few songs of Champ. Breakneck speed and End of a Spark are the only songs I can tolerate.

EDIT: I'm so glad this turned into an old school tpc thread. Fuck yea old school tpc.

I used citizens of tomorrow as a song to play in the background of a slideshow on technology in high school.
