Ok I usually do this off a kicker so ride up to the kicker (I like to go as fast as I can to get huge height but whatever you want) and when you get to the very end Ollie drag up and tuck your knees more than usual you have to really get down low to grab the board. Takes a couple tries but you get used to how low you have to go after awhile. If you don't touch your board you want to get lower. Its hard to grab the board but it looks cool if you do. Good Luck!

where do you place you hand and wich hand should it be

on the left side of the board and i place mine with my right hand

You'd either need a high ollie or a little kicker in order to successfully do a indy grab off a 5 stair.

Look up some tips on youtube. The problem you are having will be fixed by these few steps:
Keep shoulders parallel with the board
When you kick, don't kick too hard or too into the board
Stay over the board

skate and bend down and put your hand under the board and jump

grabbing it with your left would be an indy, but with your right would be a seatbelt air. ah, i used to do those over everything back in the day... then i got proper indys down.

What's a mute if that's a seatbelt air? I don't know grabs, can't do them for shit so I don't pay much attention to them.

this is a special trick but its still a grab its awsome on a halfpipe

go at a whizzing speed coz you need loads of hight as you come to the very tip of the ramp grab the board with yur left hand if yur goofy or yur right hand if yur regular and make a T shape
as you start to fall bring the board back down land and roll away feeling awsome coz youve just busted a special :w00t:
