A new page entry has been added:

Inward Heelflip

So, you wanna learn the inward heel do you?

Make sure you know what you are getting into before you learn it though! It's a very difficult trick but SO worth it when you get the hand of the mbecause they look so nice. I wouldn't recommend trying them unless you can:

1.Heelflip

2. B/S Shoveit

3. Casper Fip (helpful, but not needed)

FOOT PLACEMENT

FRONT FOOT: Your front foot is going to be placed in a very awkward position for this trick. It twill be at about a 60 degree angle on the toe side of your deck. If you are goofy this is the left side and if you are regular this is the right. You should have about half your foot hanging off the edge and this foot should be about halfway down the board.

BACK FOOT: With your back foot, you will have it turn about a 15 degree angle in the middle of the tail (your toes being in the very middle of the tail). Nothing to special, just a basic placement.

*** THE FRONT FOOT PLACEMENT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART IN THE TRICK***

You are now ready for the flip:

THE FLIP

FRONT FOOT: Your front foot which is, at the moment, half on half off the toe side of the board is going to slide off AND kick down at the same time at about a 45 degree angle. You need to slide off so it spins the heel flip and then you need to kickdown so it does the inward 180. This is a very tricky part so before you move onto the catching step, i would recommend practicing this part. Be sure after you do this to suck ur foot up as high as you can.

Keep in mind you MUST, absolute MUST kick and slide at the same time.

AT THE SAME TIME

BACK FOOT: Just pop. pop your back foot hard and suck your leg up so it doesn't get in the way.

That was a pretty simple step wasn't it?

Haha, ok. So, heres where we are.

1. You go the foot placement.

2. You have just kicked and flipped the inward heel.

3. you have also popped with your back foot

The inward heel is now ready to be caught.

THE CATCH:

The catch is quite simple for this trick.

What you must do is catch it with your back foot. Once your back foot hits the board, you will put your front foot on the board and stomp down to stop it from flipping so it spins the inward heel and nothing more.

Be sure to stomp so it stops it from spinning and flipping any more!

So, now thgat you know how to do the trick, let's move onto trouble shooting!

TROUBLE SHOOTING

Problem - The board hits my front leg.

Solution - Quickly suck your legs up as fast as possible after the front foot motion is done OR let the board go through your legs. It's a personal preferance.

Problem - It only spins half the heel flip

Solution - You must kick with all your might! This give it the flip AND spin.

Problem - I cna't get the full 180

Solution - For some people it helps if you use your back foot to kick the board around a bit, for some it doesn't. Give it a try.

I HOPE THIS HELPS!

Kristian

Pressure Inward Heelflips The pressure inward heelflip relies solely on your back foot. To learn these, put your back foot on the tail toeside edge like a 360 flip only turned inward a little more. The front foot serves no purpose in the flip besides balance, it can be put in the middle or as I prefer in about kickflip position. The key to this trick is to scoop the board with your back foot. You need to scoop it forward so it flips back and kind of turn your heel to make it flip. This just requires you get a feel for it - watch the video and keep trying.

I recently learned Inwards (dont get me wrong - they were a bitch to learn), but what I figured out is this: (1) Pop the board more verticle, for a easier flip, seeing that is mostly everyones problem (2) Put alot of weight on your front foot.

tht pressure is like a heel hardflip... it only does a semi kickflip

I have only been trying Inward Heels for a couple days now, and I have to tell you, I am close. I find it easier to put you're (my) back foot in the same place with the same pressure as I would for a 360 Flip.
I'm not going against the way Tom-E posted, but I'm just saying it helps me.

those pressure flips r easier in nollie 4 sum reason
if u r regular roll foward in a nollie stance at a slowish speed (then work u way up)
get ure left foot and place it on the side where u wud kick out for a kickflip, right on the edge where the concave dipps quite low on ure nose n just ahead of ure front wheels. put ure right foot near the middle - back bolts. put loads of force into ure front foot while you kick downwards n jump up with the deck. note ure right foot basically duz nothing in this trick just jumps up with your body. if u dont get enuff flip just put more pressure into it

So the board does a BS 180 Heelflip?

the board flips like a backside 180 heel with your body not rotating, so yes. and it is a hell of a lot harder to do than it looks, i have no idea how my brother does them.

I've found that sometimes inward heels are easier than heelflips, when I started to skate my heelflips were alsways sketchey and they tended to spin to the right, I landed them but they were still sketchy, then I implimented the pop-shuvit into it and I found it was easier :P, but I guess that was just me ;P

yeah inwards are fun. i was playing skate with my friend and hes a beast at inwards and at the time i couldnt do them so he did it and i was like what? and he showed me so i tried one. i came close to landing it. so he gave me another chance to not get the letter. so then i tried it again and landed it super clean. like bolts. but now i cant do them everytime. good trick time tho.

varial heels are an fs shovit and heelflip inward heels are bs shovit and a heel

it is the direction of a varial kickflip, but instead of a kickflip it is a heelflip. going IN twards you. varial heelflip is a hardflip motion with a heelflip

look at the INWARD HEELFLIP video. www.youtube.com/xballr4lyfe

thats not an inward heel, thats a pressure flip

an inward heel you actually flick with your heel IMO

Haha, ok. So, heres where we are.
1. You go the foot placement.
2. You have just kicked and flipped the inward heel.
3. you have also popped with your back foot

As if your have the time to think of this thread in the middle of da trick lolz

Communist Monkey

FRONT FOOT: Your front foot which is, at the moment, half on half off the toe side of the board is going to slide off AND kick down at the same time at about a 45 degree angle. You need to slide off so it spins the heel flip and then you need to kickdown so it does the inward 180. This is a very tricky part so before you move onto the catching step, i would recommend practicing this part. Be sure after you do this to suck ur foot up as high as you can.

when my friend duz em he slides his foot over the toe side then quickly pulls it over da heel side for the catch
dat valid

Ive got these babies on lock and im taking them down stairs. But i find the best foot position is to set your backfoot up like the footposition of a treflip and put your front foot like a treflip but more upon the board like the whole foot. Now there are too was to do it.

If you want to land them easier do flick your foot diagonally. But if you want them to get popped and stylish, you unfortuantely have to drag straight up.Thats what i do now(the second style)good luck.

It's easier if you stick your front foot (toeside) out for the trick.

I put my backfoot on the heelside of the tail, like a frontside shuv placement, which might seem wierd since it spins backside but you scoop backwards. If I don't do this I can't get my balance over the board in the air, so I can still flip it but have no chance of landing on it. Whenever one of my feet is on one side for a flip trick I like to have my other foot on the other side, which might explain why I'm so inconsistent with straight kickflips, I never feel balanced with my front foot over to the heelside and my back foot in the centre of the tail.
