help with this

all of my footage on my tape is gone and when i go to record more it says its working but when i go to watch it it doesnt come up any where i tried to switch tapes but it still does it.i think the play/edit does not work right

please help

oh yea and i have a sony handy cam

you probably need to get your heads cleaned. Go to the camera store and get a cleaning tape and if that doesn't work, you can always send it in somewhere to get looked at.
