I've been the story mod over here together with Boxlid for the past couple
of months. Although I can't really speak for him I'm sure he shares some of
what I'm about to say.

Recently there's been lots more skate stories than before being sent in.
And I delete lots of them. If you want to get your story up, read this.

1. Be interesting. I get a lot of stories that go something like "we were
at the skatepark and* I did this trick." or "I got an injury this really
sucks" I don't want to put those kind of stories up because they aren't

AIGHT I WAS ONLY LIKE TEN WHEN DIS HAPPENED SO DONT SAY LIKE WAT A POSER OR SOMTHIN AIGHT..... WELL DIS IS HOW IT HAPPENED I WAS SKATIN AND I WAS HAPPY BECAUSE I JUST LANDED A GRIND SO I WANTED TO TRICK IT OUT A LIL BIT SO I 180 HEELFLIP 5 0 GRIND WITH A KICKFLIP OUT AND YAH I WAS JUST TEN WHEN DIS HAPPENED BUT I CANT DO DAT ANYMORE ILL TELL U LATER, SO I WENT UP TO BUST OUT DAT TRICK WHEN I TRIED 2 DO THE 5 0 THE BOARD SLIP FROM UNDER ME AND I FELL AND IT MY HEAD AND THE BOARD WAS FLYIN UP IN THE AIR AND JUST BY REACTION I GOT UP AS QUICK AS I CAN AND I DIDNT NOTICE THE BOARD IN THE AIR, BUT IT CAME DOWN AND BUSTED MY HEAD OPEN AND LEFT ME UNCONSCIOUS BUT IF IT WASNT FOR MY BROTHER I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE DIED FRUM LOSS OF BLOOD BUT MY BROTHER TOLD MY MOM AS HE SAYS AND I WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND I GOT MY HEAD SOWN UP AND I WAS FINE, BUT FOR SOME REASON MY BROTHER TOOK MY BOARD AND LEFT IT IN THE VAN AS SOON AS I GOT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL I TOOK THE VAN KEYS AND GOT MY SKATEBOARD AND STARTED 2 SKATE AND DIS PART SUCKS I HIT A ROCK AND THE BOARD WHEN STRAIGHT REALLY FAST AND WHILE IT WAS GOING I FLEW THROUGH THE AIR LIKE MOST PEOPLE WOULD AND THE BOARD HIT MY NOSE AND BUST MY NOSE OPEN I GOT UP AND LOOKED IN A MIRROR.MY NOSE WAS FILLED WITH PURPLE BLOOD I DIDNT PANICK BECAUSE I WAS ALREADY IN A HOSPITAL SO I RAN INTO THE ROOM WERE MY MOM WAS AT AND I SAID "MOM I HOPE WE HAVE INSURANCE FOR ME" AND OF COURSE SHE SAID YAH WE DO THEN SHE LOOKED AT ME IN SHOCK. MY MOM TOOK MY BOARD AND GAVE IT 2 MY BROTHER AND TOLD HIM 2 BRAKE IT. NOW I ALMOST GOT ALL MY SKILLS BACK AFTER 2 YEARS SO NOW IM 12 WITH A MESSED UP NOSE AND A BUMP ON MY HEAD I CAN GRIND AND 180 I ALMOST GOT MY HEELFLIP DOWN SO DATS MY CRAZY AND DAT TELLS U HOW MUCH I LOVE 2 SKATE AND DATS HOW IT WILL ALWAYS BE.

hey SBC, i was wanting to know if i ave what it takes to be sponsored, and if so, by whom?
i can ollie 2 stacked decks, kickflip, heelflip, varial and 360 flip, fs and bs boardslides, darkslide, kickflip to bs boardslide, manual and nose manual, primo flip, bigspin, nollie, switch heel and switch kickflip,50-50 to kickflip out, 5-0, smith, and nosegrind.
do i have what it takes??

About 3 weeks ago, some jerkoff stole both my bike and my board. I had a pretty nice setup, so when i found out i was devastated. One of my buddies felt bad for me and hooked me up with a piece of crap DGK, some Venture truck, and some crappy wheels he managed to salvage of an old board. He did a really shitty job of setting up, because the trucks were loose on the deck. I reset the trucks, but didn't think to check the wheels, and it was all downhill from there. Today i was messing around in the city, just kickflipping little gaps and working on my heelflips. I skate down to a local store and find a dock out back. I start screwing around on it, and i find a pretty nice 5 set. i kickflip it (after about 50 tries), and I didnt notice the bolt fell off the rright rear wheel. i start to skate home, and the sidewalk is pretty beat up so i have to ollie over these big cracks. I kickflip one, and my wheel falls off in mid air. I land and smash the axle into the pavement, and i get kicked out about 5 feet. i skidded across the sidewalk and got some pretty nice road rash on my shoulder, elbow, and hip, but thats not what i'm made about. I got get the wheel and one bearing is gone. I look everywhere but can't find it. Now i have no bolt and am missing a bearing, and i have no cash so im pretty much SOL.

Ok, In my town we dont have a skatepark, we used to, but the mayor and his goons tore it down with no explanation. Because of this loss, skaters now have to skate local spots, which leads to this story. Alright, there is this diner near me with a big grass gap so for the day i decide to go there and try it. Once there i decide to do a basic ollie across it, I got it on my 2nd try and in a few minutes i was kickfliping,pop shuving, and heelfliping it. After a half hour i decide to head elsewhere, but as i was about to go i see to girls walking out of the diner, so being a guy i go and impress them. I 180 the gap and land it clean, by this time i have the girls attention and i have them smiling. I was thinking "wow, this turned out to be a cool day". Just then these two HUGE black dudes come out of the diner and talk to the girls. One girl points to me while talkin' to one guy and the two guys stare at me. Then the two guys start commin' over to me with an angry look on there face while im just standing there thinkin' " oh crap!". Then they start telling me that I'm a skater fag and start pushing me so i say "screw this" and start running. One dude gets me down and starts beating me, it reaaaaallly hurt,the other guy joined in. Luckily no one was there to help me so i just layed down for an hour bleeding when i finally got the strength to stand up i see my board in pieces i grab my trucks and waddle home a poor poor man. They bruised my rib and broke my wrist...I still skate but I never go to that spot again it haunts me to this day.....so thats my story by the way your trick tips help me a lot:)

Me and two of my friends were at one of the skateparks that we usually go to. We got there about an hour early for some reason, I cant remember. But the owner wasnt there yet, so we couldnt get in. We skated outside for the longest time. I had broke me board earlier that week and never got a new one. So, I was skating one of my friends old mysteries. About an hour later the owner showed up and we were the only ones to skate the park for a little while. When I got in, I was worming up and taking my time. Cruising around and what not. I went for a double stair that I had done many times before! A nice 3 Flat 2, but it was long and you had to get a good amount of speed. I got plenty of speed. When I landed I landed right on the bolts, maybe a little bit behind it. I heard a loud Snap and the owner yelled from across the park, "That didnt sound good!" He was wright. The tail had snapped on my friends board! I was laughing sooo hard when i landed it. The funnies thing of all was, I wasnt in the park skating for 10 minutes before that happened! That is my skate story!

this was couple of days ago... i wanted to show people how much i love skating!
i was riding down my driveway trying to kickflip over a foot high log this car stopped and i hit the logged and rolled my ankle ending up spraining my right ankle because i didnt wanna hit the car.. 2 days later i sprained my other ankle because of the same thing...
now today currently i am skating on two sprained ankles...

Am I good enough to get sponsered? Im 10 and I can: ollie, nollie, casper, shuv-it, nollie shuv-it, pop shove-it, nollie pop shove-it, kickflip, 50-50 stall, boardslide stall, nose manual, manual, primo, ollie two stair, ollie over two decks, ollie over sewage drain and ollie on and off of curbs. Just tell me if i'm good enough.
