Post bands you put off listening to for awhile, then once you finally listened to them, you completely hated yourself for not listening to sooner!

For me lately it would be..

Cold War Kids, Grinderman, and Vampire weekend.

I used to hate how much people would talk about coldwar kids/vampire weekend so I never listened.
And just recently they both came up on pandora so I went and found their albums and couldn't be more stoked.

Hip Hop as a genere in general. Every other area of music I'm into I always and still do stay pretty up to date with who I want to listen to. Unless its a band I think is bad at first, but then listen to more and realize they are good, but I don't really get mad at myself for that.

D: fugazi? i'm a little disappointed in you.

best friends forever, cutesy hipster music. handpocket was so addicting i had to get the whole album. i wish i could thank whoever first posted them here on sbc.

bomb the music industry, free ska punk. i judged them based on one song i heard by them and gave up on them. years later i heard them again and proceeded to DL all six albums.

Alexisonfire

Other than that I'm very happy with where i've gone/where i've been musically, but i wish i listened to alexisonfire from age like 11-13. i didn't listen to music much at age 12 and when i was 13 i got into a really gay indie phase where i listened to the shins, dandy warhols, belle and sebastian, and other fruity shit like that.

would have much rather been into screamo and got into other bands like that aka listening to music that has balls. also because i went to an alexisonfire show semi-recently and found it pretty enjoyable but it would have been a lot better for me if i had been following them from a young age.

I would see a kid with an Alkaline Trio shirt on in high school all the time and would think to myself, "I bet that band sucks." So I knew about them and didn't bother to check them out, now I really like them.
