i was just thinking about it, actually, experiencing it at the moment, but how do you feel about this?

i'll give an example, i was really down the whole day, then i put on some streetlight manifesto, and i was happier then i was troughout the whole day, then slayer was put on, and i turned into a hating machine, now there's no music playing anymore, and i'm feeling down again

is this just me, or does anybody else has this?

Very simply, yes.
Music is one off the best ways to change your emotions. If im really pissed about sumthing, i usually punch a hole in the wall, but if i put on 3 little birds by bob marley, i feel beter. Works the other way around too.

Hell yes, a lot of bands have kept me into skateboarding, like about 6 months ago when I was learning to ollie, I had the speakers in my truck cranked up, and I don't remember what I was listening to, but it turned my opinions around, and I can do all kinds of crap now.

Yea of course it can. When I have the Skatalites on I get real chill but if I turn on something like The Unseen or Less Than Jake or Catch 22 I want to get up and move. I get happier aswell. But ska is known for doing that. Oh yea and hell yea International Ska Circus im march cant wait.

how come some songs just sound lke a soundtrack to some really good movie that teaches you a lesson on life. like Cream's "white room" makes me thinkg of that. maybe like osme guy overdosing on lsd or something

No, at least not with me. Usually I listen to a certain type of music according to my emotions. If I'm feel depressed I'll but on some more slower tunes with drawn out vocals to suit it. This is all obvious, of course. But if I try to play something very up beat during those moments of slight depression, I get no change of state so I'll just turn the music off. The same goes for the exact opposite. It's very hard for me to believe that, say I'm angry and someone puts on cd of natural sounds on, that I'll all of a sudden I become peaceful and calm. I'm not that fickle. Obviously music can help though, that goes without saying.

Strawberry fields forever makes me feel realy good and confident
White Room is one of my happiest songs ever. Man I rember that song inspired me to buy a guitar 4 years ago. Anyway yes, I think it can easliy change your mood, Music always has a piece of soul along with it.

Music speeds you up,
slows you down,
teaches you to hate,
teches you to love,
kills your depression,
causes your depression,
makes you think,
and dance to it too.

but that's just what i think.

yes indeed, music can have a powerful effect on ones emotions..really.

many have blamed specific artists for shooting up schools and have also pointed the finger at artist because of suicide.

i don't necessarily agree with those views, but it's possible. music's a powerful thing!

if it doesn't make me feel something, it's not worth keeping in my iTunes.
