I don't know much about amps so I was wondering how loud this one might be. http://memphis.craigslist.org/msg/1758499550.html (http://memphis.craigslist.org/msg/1758499550.html)

50X2. Not really sure how loud that is and $300 is the highest I'm willing to go.

take that money and just get a Tube amp, 5-15 Watts is quite a bit on a tube amp, 15 being approx the same as the one you are looking at in tube watts, I snatched up a fender Vibro Champ XD(modified tube amp) for $200 and its quite amazing. Or if you want more power, for $100 more you can get the Super champ with 15 watts tube power. 15 Watts is perfect for small gigs or recording and may even be too powerful for small room practicing, seeing you really want to get the tubes powered up to around 5-8 on the volume to get the best tube driven sound. Check em out, dont get me wrong Marshall makes great amps, solid state and tube however, If you wanna spend around that much i would grab one of the smaller tube amps.

what was said up there ^^

tube amps are much louder for how many watts they are. They sound a lot better cranked up too.

How loud do you want it? Well however you want it it's just best to get a tube.

Look for a Jet City JCA20H used or a Pro Jr. The SuperChamp XD has a slightly different power circuitry than the Vibrochamp. That is all I can think of really in that price range that I'd buy if I had too.

You can get 15% off of this and it is free shipping/no tax and gets in your range:

But if you do get a Superchamp or something, I'd be a good improvement if you swap out the speaker, get like a H30/Greenback or something in there.
