View Full Version : bands you're stoked on right now

You know, not your all time favorite bands or anything, just stuff you've come across recently and can't get enough of, maybe temporarily.

For me I'm gonna have to say Trash Talk. I just found about them when they rolled through brooklyn a couple weeks ago, I thought it was gonna suck because all these douchebag hardcore bro dudes showed up...the crowd sucked, the show sucked, but I liked the music a lot. I don't really tend to listen to stuff like this at all and it was a really weird chance that I got to see them cuz they played a free show at this venue I was already at for the show I wanted to see and I stuck around for the hell of it cuz it was free.

Secondly, I've been told I should listen to No Age by a number of my friends but never got around to it. Finally did today, super stoked on them. They're my taste to a tee. I feel like I'll probably continue listening to these dudes though, but I'm not so sure how I feel about trash talk.

word. as much as I want to dislike him, I can't. His backing vocals on good old war's stuff got me back into him last year. i hate how many times i've listened to avalon in my life.

fo sho. you heard the new leaked album? it's SOOOOO motherfuckin different. sounds NOTHING like the stuff on violence violence. it's like..... 70's noise punk. with a few long-ass experiemental folky songs. but i like it.

also, Weekend Nachos.

My next door room mate has been listening to a lot of Fall of Efrafa. I couldn't really handle it at first because trying to fall asleep to a 16 minute crust song isn't the easiest task ever, but we ate breakfast together today and he was telling me about them and I actually gave them a good listen, and they're actually really good.

Yeah I heard, that's how we actually started talking about them. My room mate was telling me about how he tried to save up to go to the UK to see one of their last shows or something, it was pretty intense. I hate finding out about really sweet bands after they've broken up!

Word, if I don't know them personally I might have friends who do. I recognized a bunch of kids from that show as being friends with some of my friends, so it might be possible.
