finding/discovering/taking the time to listen to a new band and really digging them, only to find out that they broke up and you'll never see them live.

so to give this a point, post bands you wish were back together. right now for me it's only Piebald.

Pretty much every band I listen too is broken up for good.

If I had to pick one to see live it'd be Operation Ivy.

Pink Floyd, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Hot Cross are the only one's I really care about. It would be cool to see groups like The Receiving End of Sirens, or Refused though.

They're still good...

What really sucks is when you hear a song from an artist you've never heard before and it's such a good song.. But then you check out a bunch of their other stuff and it all sucks

I wish I had have grown up in the 70's and been around to see all the bands like Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Maiden (Not so much because right now theyre playing like they never have before), Deep purple, Motley crue, Led zeppelin, and manyyyyyy others. I cant really think of any that broke up... Blink 182?

The way their reunion tour went, I don't think I'll be hearing anything from +44 for a while. AVA on the other hand, has a new album coming out next month, not interested in them though.

I don't understand why people say Good News For People Who Love Bad News was a letdown, I think it's a fucking amazing album. Most people just base it off of Float On because they think it's "mainstream", but it's still got some amazing songs on there. In fact Satin In A Coffin is one of my all-time favorite songs by them.

I mean, I agree that their older stuff like The Lonesome Crowded West was definitely some of the best stuff they've released, but they're still an amazing band to me.
