I'm recently enjoying stairs more, but I'm worried about breakage, being 194 lbs.
Would the Impact support or a resin 8 be better for my needs?

The impact support's are neat boards, but every Almost I've seen has squared out/razortailed super fast. Being part of the "bigger" skate crowd (I'm 6'4" 210lbs) I would recommend an AWS or a Mystery. Both decks I had by them were really durable. The Mystery lasted me a good month and a half or so after finally breaking in the middle (slowly cracked on each side, then just continued through the whole deck) and the AWS didn't even break, just got old and replaced.

Sorry dude, but the sad truth is that any new skating technology is a piece of shit. Almost, enjoi, Blind, etc, are all really not that great. I had an enjoi, broke within like a month of skating it. If your going to buy a new deck, don't waste the extra ten dollars on the "new" stuff. Just buy plain OG Canadian Maple. Habitat, Krooked, Anti-Hero, Real, Deathwish, and Baker probably make the best. But even a Girl, or an Element would be better than Resin 8 decks, or Impact ones.

Ive had 3 blind eternal lifes, and I rate that board highly. All of them lasted a lot longer than a standard 7ply deck

Okay, well I only used Blind as an example because I couldn't think of any other brands that used resin.

The impact support board isnt all that bad but it wears dwn and razors very fast.
The resin 8 for me lasted a long time probably the longest I had a board the tail didnt wear like most almost boards and it was durable as shit to.
