Im gonna go down. I usually ride 8.13s, and I broke my deck, so I borrowed my friends old Rasa Libre deck thats a 7.625, and it felt pretty good, different but good. Ill probably get a 7.75 or a 7.81. I was just getting kinda bored of the feel of 8s, so Im gonna get one to switch it up. then Ill see if I go back to 8 or stay a little longer with larger decks. I think people are moving up to 8 cuz its a trend, and I went along with it as well, hahaha. So I just wanted to be different(I know Im hardcore...)

Haha, around here kids at the skatepark always comment on how beastly my board is and how it would be so hard to skate. It's an 8.5

So what do you like better overall? I still skate 7.75-ish and if I ever move up to 8's it will be because my feet grow not because of a stupid trend

lol?
it's not a trend.
I only really see little kids riding anything less than an 8, or kids with size 8 shoes riding 7.5 n up

It's On!

Thats not manning up. Just skate bigger boards, it looks and feels better.

Plus skinnier boards are weaker.

haha my board now is a 7.81. I always skate 8s though. Its not too bad, but I definitely love the feel of an 8 better.

Sounds like you're manning down.
I agree with you that some people are moving up to 8+s because it's a trend, but the trend has a basis in better skaters riding 8+s and lame skaters wanting to be like them.
I applaud you for being honest with yourself and skating an appropriately slender deck to match your slender ability.

Im a size 9. But yeah Ive skated 8.25s and shit, the last 8 or 9 boards Ive had have been 8+, I just a little different feel.To enjoiSkateboarding5 I really find them both really good. Both are different, But I really dont care. Ive skated bowls and big tranny with 7.5s and lets just say it wasnt easy but it was still fun as fuck.

i like 7.81's cause theyre in between the two and are a pretty solid size. not too big not too small. but currently i have an 8 and its good too

just skate it if it works for you! if u skate the same on both then more props to you. as rare as it is not everyone skates better with a bigger deck. my old best friend i used to skate with could do more tricks on a 7.5 and and skated sloppier on an 8. he has big ass feet too like 13-13.5. whenever he had a 7.5 he progressed way faster and was learning new flip tricks almost every day. he even did stairsets easier with 7.5s. idk how he does it but the tiny decks just work better for him. i think a lot of people are taking the 8+ trend too seriously and need to get their head out of their asses. good for them if they skate better on an 8 but not everyone else will cuz of it. everyone has their own preferences.

All Im saying is that Im just kinda going against the current this time. I see people saying "Im gonna man up to the 8" s this is kinda of a joke saying that Ive skated 8 or 9 8+ decks and that Im going to "Really man up" by going down in sizes. Im probably just doing this to get a different feel, I get bored easily so Im trying to spice it up a little, Ill probably go back to 8s.
