I have never skateboarded. I only know how to ride a skateboard. I am willing to use about 180 dollors on shoes and a skateboard.
I was thinking of getting a mystery or zero board
I heard good things of bones red bearing
Also bones 100's wheels and venture truck super light low trucks.
I am buying my skateboard on ccs.
I waz thinking of get herman 2 shoes they cost 70. I can add a little money like 10-20 but rather not. I also want the board to last long. if this matter my shoe size is 10

Post count +1.
Mystery and Zero are good, and bones are too.
As for Herman 2's, I hear great things about them, I've never tried them myself though.

hitstoomanyrocks=(
07-21-2009, 08:50 PM
i reccomend blackholeboards.com or skatewarehouse.com instead of ccs... but if its ur first board and u have no idea what size to get u should go to a local shop if u can they should let u stand on different decks to find what feels comfortable.
seabass
07-21-2009, 08:50 PM
how about bones stf wheels?

idk about hardware but get Independent trucks stage 10 preferably
hitstoomanyrocks=(
07-21-2009, 08:59 PM
wheels arent that big of a deal which u get. if u like the bones u picked out then get em. hardware definately doesnt matter i usually get shortys or whatever is available at the shop.
trucks u should get some lows. try venture, independent, thunder. i have tensors and love them but i know a lot of people dont like them and have heard stories of the baseplate breaking so u might not want to get those.

Independent Andrew Reynolds Stage Ten Standard Truck would that fit a Habitat Danny Garcia Metazoa Deck

size 5 superlite venture trucks fit the habitat board?

size 5 superlite venture trucks fit the habitat board?
tell us the width of the board, should be in the listing/description... size 5 ventures are only 7.5" and its a good rule of thumb to keep the truck size under the deck width size but not over .25" below...
seabass
07-21-2009, 09:05 PM
the board is 7.75 x 31.75
hitstoomanyrocks=(
07-21-2009, 09:07 PM
the metazoa garcia deck is 7.75 i think??? if so the ventures should fit.
EnjoiYoself.
07-21-2009, 09:07 PM
the board is 7.75 x 31.75
the venture 5s will fit, but I'd bump up to 7.75 trucks too, because most people will never go below 7.75 in deck size although most go up to 8...
seabass
07-21-2009, 09:09 PM
can u tell me some 7.75 trucks?
seabass
07-21-2009, 09:10 PM
should I just go down to 7.5 deck? seeing most boards are that size
hitstoomanyrocks=(
07-21-2009, 09:15 PM
only if you are really short with small feet. im 6'5 and i like 7.8 or 7.87. but i know people over a foot shorter than me that skate 8s and higher. id get a 7.75 or an 8. i got an 8 for my first board it felt a little easier to cruise around on when i was first learning to ride.

nd btw what size? 129 ? 139? 149? 169? 215?
hitstoomanyrocks=(
07-21-2009, 09:56 PM
i get mob over jessup. if jessup was the only choice i wouldnt care tho. i usually just try to order from places that offer free grip. some places offer free jessup, skatewarehouse offers their own free grip, one of my local shops offers free diamond grip i think. idk i hate buying grip when im already paying 50 for the deck.

oh. Now Btw trucks? wuts the differant between allen and philips hardware? from shorty
Allen and Phillps are different shaped heads to the screw. Allen has a hexagon shape while Phillips has a regular cross-shape.
imho, allen screws are a little bit easier to install since the allen wrench locks in so you don't have to hold on as carefully. Shorty's hardware should already include an allen wrench with it.
truck size
129mm = 7.75" axle
139mm = 8.0" axle

Why the hell not? Girls are fine. Deck size is all preference.

07-22-2009, 05:43 PM
since your new i think you should get a girl board with wutever graphics size 8. indys are a little bit heavier but that doesnt affect your performence much but since your new your probably gonna want a lighter tighter truck so get venture superlite lows wutever graphics size 5.25 (i believe that fits 8.0 someone correct me if im wrong) bones reds bearings. and bones stf wheels 52 or 53 mm. oh yeah and hardware and grip does really matter bit i like mob and shortys phillips hardware. good luck! :)

07-22-2009, 06:51 PM
no, weight doesn't matter, get indy's they'll last longer, turn, and grind better. Get mids for trucks, for grip get jessup so you don't destroy your shoes to fast (mob and black magic eat shoes), hardware doesn't matter, allen hardware is alot faster to screw in with most tools though.

but since hes new he'd most likely like tight trucks and indys are meant to turn. plus he probably wont learn grinds anytime soon. and i know weight doesnt matter but since hes new the less weight (even tho its small as fuck) might help him in some way
