This was reallly realllllly tough to vote for. Tony, your video was such an improvement from the last one(not to say the last one was bad, but man that was good).

Andsd-I envy your classical skills

Ct-my vote goes to you, you already know why.

If we're actually being serious, pre-composed/covers and improvised pieces should be judged seperately. There's no way anything I'm going to improvise will match fucking Bach, period.

That's actually a good idea for next time, I think. It's just a whole different aspect

I think you got the wrong idea here. If you wanted to play Bach, you should have played Bach. People are judging skill here. If you chose to improvise rather than play a pre-composed piece, then that's your choice.

andsd91 was the best. classical guitar is extremely hard, and it was played pretty well to perfection(not that i really know the original) but there wernt any noticable flaws.

andsd was by far the best talent wise, but I thought it was kind of boring.

Who made you the king of what is the right idea and what is not? This was Tony's idea originally if memory serves, and someone else' much longer before that..

People are going to judge what they like the best, and they will obviously opt towards the cleanly-played rendition of a composition authored by a musical genius before all else (look at the responses and poll, it's obvious). It isn't fair or even relevant to judge classical pieces with the original work of teenagers. Further, I refuse to believe that a rendition of someone else's music is an accurate gauge of a person's skill as a musician. The only difficulty in that is muscle memory.

And in the context of competition, it's just lame to pull out a cover when everyone else is writing original songs and free-improvising on the dot.

alright, for the next one i'll improvise something. still, it was your choice to improvise. i don't think anyone would have complained if you would have played bach, or anything else pre-composed for that matter. the rules clearly state you can play anything, and i didn't make them, tony did previously.

Yup, it goes without saying though that you can't play something not written by you and claim it yours.

I voted for Marevix just for the hell of it, it's rather obvious andsd91 will win again though. :D

Even though I don't skate anymore or come on here anymore, I had to log in real quick say that that was once again a very nice performance, andsd91. If you're a member on UG, add me. My username is the same there as it is here.

This should be closed if people won't bother to vote anymore or nobody even reads this.

Andsd91 seems to have disappeared and nobody seems to be voting anymore, so I will start round 4 when people have enough time to get in.

I can close it. Sorry I haven't voted. I can't listen to all the videos / recordings because my internet is throttled. It took me an hour to load a 5-minute youtube vid.

Anyway, closed!
