If you would like your picture(s) to be used for the trick tip, and if you want the credit for it, please put a watermark in one of the corners.
We're still trying to figure out the best way for you guys to get the cred you deserve, and so far this seems like the best idea.
If you got more ideas, please suggest them in here.
God damn it make up your mind

You could just put "Photo by _______" under it.

Which would be a lot easier than opening it up in photoshop, putting in a watermark that may look stupid, re-upping it, and re-posting it.

So far I've just been doing it so when you hover your mouse over the image a little pop up bit of text tells who contributed it and such.
And I don't know if we can really put text line directly under the image with the way the layout is automatically set up..

I suggested it and Viv said that that might be the best way.
And yea, the layout doesn't let you put text under the picture.

I'm not watermarking.

Yeah, I mean.. If somebody really wants to do it, then they can by all means.. But I guess it's not a terribly big deal, and we'll still use them and just credit them ourselves. I'd say I would put the watermarks in, but kind can't >.>

I'm actually quite surprised that the photogs aren't up for this... i would have thought that the obligatory boarder and name stamping would go without saying.
In this case i suggest that Iskatehard's idea of using the context box roll over is the best option.

Watermarking involves all of us to take down whatever photos we have on flickr, lose the stats on those(for people who care about publicity/people seeing and finding their work) and having to edit, and re-upload them.
It might not seem like much, but it's kinda a pain. There can't be a little line at the bottom with credit? The scroll over seems fine, but not everyone would scroll over/bother to read it.
Just my two cents.

I used to have an automation in Photoshop that would put a little watermark in the bottom right of the image at the click of 2 keys... Upload that photo to one of the trick tippers, and the job's done.
I can't see where flickr comes into the equation at all.
I guess we'll just say that credit is put in the roll over, and that if you want anything else, spent 1 minute in Photoshop and do it yourself.
Jah?

Well, why would you have to remove it? Couldn't you just right click and save as, then do the marking and upload it through some random upload service?
I mean, yeah, it's cool with me either way. The scroll over works fairly well.. If the person(s) contributing the image are cool with it, then I am too.

I suppose we could just upload them to another hosting site.
I'm fine with the scroll over though.
