I'm gonna miss them when they come to DC though. Graduation sucks. And the next closest thing is PA I believe :-(

I'm on a self imposed no-listening to clues period at the moment so that it will be extra-awesome once I get the album

I'm doing the exact opposite. Every time I listen to live bootlegs for long enough, if I go back and listen to studio cuts, it's so much better. I'm totally leaning towards Alden being the more talented of the two though.

Well Les Os IS the best thing they produced together...it just feels like a lot of that mystique about The Unicorns came from him.

They're both the shit though. It's actually kinda cool to listen to them seperately and see who contributed what and how everything came together so well.

Yeah, Alden has always been my favorite member of the unicorns. Nothing against Nick, but Alden is just so awesome. and him pairing up with Brendan Reed in Clues is pure win. Alden obviously gets the most attention out of the band members, but listening to Brendan's stuff, its clear that he has a pretty big influence on the overall feel and sound of the band

EDIT: woah, my post disappeared somehow

totally agree about the mystery though. Thats part of what made them so great, no matter how much you know, you never really know the whole story

I got bored and took it upon myself to look it up because I'd heard they were really young when they started out...he was 19 when who will cut our hair when we're gone came out.
