Need help picking out the perfect skateboard!!

I want to get my bf a skateboard (late christmas present), but I don't know a thing about skating or skateboards. What are some things to keep in mind when purchasing one? What are some good websites? And finally, regarding designs and such, what would a guy in his early mid twenties perfer? And also, I notice that there are boards with pointed ends? What's the difference?

find out what brand he likes best than go to any skateshop or online and find another deck of the same brand. as for graphics just pick out somthing you think he would like.

just look in his room. most likley he'll have a deck somewhere lying around just look at the logo.

well look at clothing or stickers he might have lying around.
if that doesnt help a few good deck companies are anti-hero, baker, mystery, and blacklabel.

wat i would do is get him a gift card to industrial or another shop
and take him to get it

200 is more then enough, just find out the size of the boards he skates and then go out and buy any one for him.

what i was trying to say was that it was good equipment but cheaper than most places you would find. just click the link it will take you to a board builder where you can pick out every single part just remeber to upgrade the bearings.

some good brands are "girl,chocolate,baker,zero(that's what im suin)or get him a blank from the local skateshop near you(maybe the skateshop near you will have good blanks or osmething

good trucks are, venture, grind king, royal, thunders

infact why dont you ask some of freinds? what type of set-ups he prefers and what size he usally skates that would proberbly work. dam id kill to have a gf like you lol.
