ceramic bearings are just stronger. abec rating is for how fast and long the bearings spin

thanks but in the video it shows the ceramic bearings spinning for at least double the time of abec 7

abec is just rated by people so it can be possible for abec 3 bearings to be better than abec 7 bearings. it also depends on the brand

isn't abec how resistant to thermal damage from friction? anyway from my experience it's the company that matters not the rating

So much confusion... :D

Ceramic bearings are less prone to rust damage, although the races still corrode since skaters use "hybrid ceramic", meaning the balls are ceramic but the races are still stainless steel. The cheapo ebay versions are great wet weather bearings.

Ceramics usually have very good ball bearings in them and are typically lubed with oil. This makes them fast, and definitely faster than junko, grease-lubed bearings.

Ceramics are fast, but you can be just as fast with a better tuck/position than a skater with a sloppy stance or dirty tuck (racing).

^And to add to that, ceramics are like 10x more expensive.

they are hella expensive, just get swiss if your really into bearings, i dont see the need to get bearings almost as much as a new complete (from the prices ive seen anyways).

just to let you guys know abec bearings mean nothing, and the best bearings around are rock n ron's.

For skateboarding, ABEC rating is worthless.

But yeah, swiss versus regular bearings, you can feel the difference.
