they're pretty tight but i'm looking for less melodic and more like breakdown-ish hardcore shit if you know what i mean

slapshot
ten yard fight
floorpunch
trashtalk
sick of it all
madball
killing time
uppercut
straight ahead
breakdown
subzero
outburst
inside out
the crumbsuckers
the cro mags
bulldoze

that's a lot of late 80's and early 90's new york and boston beatdown hardcore. you can find a lot more by checking out some hardcore blogs and stuff.

Ritual Carnage, cool Japanese thrash band (singer is american)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md3T2rwpgPc

I can't find the other 3 cds on youtube but this was the cross over era of Danny (vocals), he changes his vocals a ton. I, Infiedal he has a real high pitch vocals but the guitars are the best in that cd, more high end.

just in general, www.pandora.com is a great place to find music. you put in a band you like and it will play songs from bands that sound similar

I'm not really into that type of shit anymore, but you'd probably like something like Stick to Your Guns.

Listen to this though, Poison the Well, one of my favorite bands. Has the sickest breakdowns.

Seriously if you want to hear some of the best metalcore with a pure raw heavy emotional sound go download/buy Poison the Well's The Opposite of December album. It's probably my favorite album ever.
