Hey all I started skating about a month ago and I have bought 2 boards both which are 7.75. I went to a skate camp to learn more about boarding and the instructor keep tellin me my board was to small for me. I wear a 10.5 to 11 size shoe and he was tellin me to get an 8 but I like the 7.75 size but when i rode an 8 all it did was give me more control and it felt bigger. What should I do and what do you recommend? Help would be good by the way I'm 23.

The first deck was an Alien workshop complete and to be honest it wasnt a great buy and if I could stop people from gettin me that board I would. But for deck size what should I do I like the 7.75 but that guy said I should get an 8 Im confused.

im gonna get an eight, i have a 7 625 right now and size 10.5 shoes, the shoe doesn't fit well on the board, getting a bigger board is your decision, if you want more riding space, get a bigger board, if you dont, stick with 7 75. I am thirteen so im gonna stick with an eight . After i get it

Dude, fuck that guy, 7.75 is almost exactly the same as an 8, in the illustrious words of Mr. Gone, "It's only tenths of inches" If you want an 8 though, go ahead and get one. Bigger decks > smaller decks. When I buy my decks, I don't go below 7.75, and I have a 9/9.5 foot.

The deck was awesome the trucks, bearings, and wheels were crap lol. Sorry if I made the brand sound bad but its just the stuff I mentioned that made the board bad.

just buy a cheap blank 8.0 and if you dont like it just go back to your 7.75s. Iv got size 12 feet and I'm riding an 8 and its going pretty well so far. Also you could go half way between and dig up a 7.875, they felt really good for me.

wait so your saying that this guy told you that you'd be better off skating a different shape, and when you skated it, you had better control, but you still like the 7.75? that doesnt make any sense. get the 8 and you'll be better.

Lol I skated with a 7.3 but 8's too big for me. I suggest you get one tho.

The better control came from his loose trucks honeslty I jus finished talkin to a bunch of people and everyone is sayin the thing 7.75 and 8 are really the same thing and the only diff is 10th of an inch. I dont wanna cough up more cash on a new deck and parts so I'll stick to my good ol 7.75 and let my trucks get broken in and wear my actual shoe size of 10.5 not an 11.

To start out man, go with what you feel comfortable with even if your instructor tells you otherwise. Also for the price of a walmart board you can get an industry deck on minionshop dot com. no joke lol.
Plus any size too, but go with how you feel on a deck. If the 2 you got now aren't working for you, best investment of your life 15 bucks for a minion deck. (seems like spamming but im not trying to giving him a cheap ultimatum for finding a deck or size)

Other then that, if you dont feel like trying something new, just ride your 2 other decks bro, see how those fit you in the next few months.

Also maybe try a 7.5 or something or a size 13, jk. :P
